Johnson Architecture is a design firm that provides architecture, planning, and full in-house interior design services for facilities of all types including governmental, educational, commercial, industrial, entertainment, religious, office, medical, and restaurant developments. Our main office is located in Cherokee Mills in Knoxville, Tennessee, with a satellite office in Jackson, New Jersey. The firm’s project management skills and project-specific technical knowledge allows the creation of truly efficient and economical facilities for our clients.

Established by Daryl Johnson, AIA in 1994, Johnson Architecture has designed numerous building projects of various sizes and types, most notably Maryville Municipal Center, Knoxville Zoological Gardens, Maryville City Schools, South College, Linden Library, and Ruby Tuesday International Headquarters.

As the firm continues to grow, the philosophy that sound, creative design combined with client service and attention to detail are the attributes that will enable the firm to best serve its clients has remained constant. The frequent absence of these basic tenets within the corporate culture of larger, more impersonal firms is what sets Johnson Architecture apart from its competitors. With these principles in mind, Johnson Architecture has continued to provide successful design projects to its satisfied clients.

Johnson Architecture features five licensed architects in a staff of seventeen architectural employees, interior designers, draftspersons and administrative personnel; including two LEED AP professionals. The firm also maintains close working relationships with a number of specialized consulting engineers. Every project is managed by a principal of the firm, who coordinates all aspects of a project from the initial marketing effort through project completion. By personally maintaining managerial control of each project, Johnson Architecture’s principals and project managers strive to provide the quality, creativity, and attention to detail that has established the reputation of the firm as a design leader.
